Welcome
Good afternoon. My name is Christian.
The idea of this blog is to basically share what I learn in my devotions, especially those that weigh heavy on my heart. Figured I'll start with my testimony.
When I was in the womb, my mother had complications, to the point the doctors told my parents there was no way I was alive. Everything medicine and science said, I was dead or heading there. They had planned to cut me out of the womb a few days later as the weekend had arrived. Over the weekend I was prayed over, continuously. The day finally came to cut me out.
Before the operation the doctor felt the need to double check. So they did an ultrasound, and despite what medicine and science said what was impossible, I was alive. It was nothing less of a miracle. My name was not going to be Christian, but after that, it was changed to Christian to serve as a dedication to the Lord.
Fast forward to a few years and my parents became missionaries to the Dominican Republic. We lived there about a year and a half to two years. It was this moment, I had a feeling I was being called to International Mission work.
Fast forward again to my teenage years.... I was 16 I believe when I wanted to go on a Mission trip to Haiti with my church. My mom said maybe next time as we simply couldn't afford it. Two weeks later I heard about the trip again and I felt like I was supposed to grab an application to go so I did. Talked with my parents and we filled it out and prayed His will would happen... Putting our fleece out so to speak. Well, I sent support letters out asking for help with this amazing opportunity, and sure enough the checks came. Within a few weeks I had all the money I needed to go. It went from highly unlikely to succeeding in a big way. This trip had served to boost my heart for missions.
Fast forward to today. In my mid-twenties, and I still have a passion for missions.
